Cheesy Beef Pizza Poppers

These Cheesy Beef Pizza Poppers burst with flavor. The meatiness from the ground beef and pepperoni goes wonderfully with the zesty and creamy notes supplied by the giardiniera and cheese. The egg roll wrappers help to keep everything contained and easy to eat, making them perfect for setting out for guests while watching a big game. The air fryer helps to give these pizza poppers the perfect texture. Be sure to set out some pizza sauce for dipping!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 small package pepperoni, diced
  • ½ cup Poppy’s hot or mild giardiniera
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 package egg roll wrappers
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste 

Directions

  1. Heat a medium nonstick skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add ground beef, onion powder, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and pepperoni. Cook until meat is browned and cooked through.
  3. Add Poppy’s giardiniera (hot or mild) and continue to cook over medium heat for 2-3 minutes, breaking the giardiniera up into smaller pieces and combining with the meat.
4. Set your eggroll wrappers out and brush their edges with water. Place about 1 tbsp of pizza sauce and 2 tbsps of filling in the center, then top with a generous pinch of cheese.
5. Roll up and seal the seam with water. Place rolls in air fryer and spray with cooking spray. Air fry for 5-7 minutes at 375 degrees until golden brown. 
6. Serve warm with pizza sauce for dipping.
