Spicy Bloody Mary with Giardiniera

Take your brunch beverage game up a notch with these Bloody Marys featuring a distinct kick lent by, you guessed it, some hot giardiniera. But honestly, whether you've got brunch plans or not, you'll want to give this recipe a shot. Feel free to get creative with your garnish, though we were really happy with the combination of spicy pickled green bean, sweet pickle, and cheese cube.

Ingredients

  • 24 oz tomato juice
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp Poppy’s hot giardiniera (brine/oil included)
  • 2 shakes of Tabasco 
  • 1 tsp pickle juice
  • 1 tbsp tajin
  • 4 oz Vodka
  • Garnish: spicy pickled green bean, white cheddar cheese cube, sweet pickle

 Directions

  1. Wet the rims of two 16 oz. glasses with a fresh lemon slice, then dip them into tajin to rim the glasses.
  2. Fill the glasses about halfway with ice.
  3. Mix the tomato juice, vodka, lemon juice, lime juice, Worcestershire sauce, giardiniera, Tabasco, pickle juice into a pitcher and thoroughly combine all of the ingredients. 
  4. Pour your mixture through a fine mesh strainer, then into the prepared glasses.
  5. Enjoy!
